I purchased WP Cloner yesterday, it installed fine on recommended settings in the public_html_cloner, atributes set to 755, with some pursuation I finally got it to clone a WP Blog, until step 4 on the last line I get "Settings update error 9" in red lettering!
When trying to log into new WP Blog installation I get error message

"500 Server Error
A misconfiguration on the server caused a hiccup. Check the server logs, fix the problem, then try again. URL: http://geraldpilcher.com/wp-login.php
Dangerously writable: [/home1/gedespic/public_html/geraldpilcher/wp-login.php]
FIXED"

Can you help me resolve this issue..

another issue has happened...

Step 1 Preparing Source.

Clone progress:

Collecting of Source Blog information..........done
Opening of Source Blog configuration file..........done
Extracting of database structure..........done

the screen freezes at this point.

This software is so frustrating, the promo offers a what appears a great solution to all our WP cloning problems.
Reading this forum it appears there are many ways to "get it wrong"
I contacted technical support only to be directed to this forum and I don't see much activity here!

Hi ,

When you get a 500 Server Error then the issue is related to the permission that is setup on the wp-login.php file. You need to make sure that the .php files have the permission 644 and the folders 755. However a good idea is to send me a PM with your FTP/cPanel login details so i can take a look and see why it does not work and help you to fix it.
